PhysioLife Physiotherapist Andrea Chen recently completed a course specifically dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of running injuries. Andrea has a keen interest in running injuries and has consequently developed a caseload that includes quite a few runners.
Besides dealing with running injuries, the course also focused on the role biomechanics (the runner’s form), and running shoes play in both the occurrence and prevention of injuries. The course was taught by renowned Blaise Dubois, a physiotherapist and consultant for the Canadian national track and field team.
If you’re a runner training for one of many events this spring or summer, and pain or injury is holding you back, or if you want to learn how to prevent injury, please call to book an appointment with Andrea.

The staff at PhysioLife Physiotherapy Clinic spent their Friday night volunteering massage therapy services at the BC Cancer’s Relay for Life in White Rock. The clinic was able to spend the evening cheering on runners and walkers, while helping to raise money for this great cause. A large number of walkers/runners received complimentary massages to keep them going throughout the night.
We were thrilled to be invited back for our second year at this event. We had a great time, and look forward to returning next year.
